Taylor is a mainly self-taught guitar player. Overtones of bluesy, flamenco, and celtic styles come through in his playing. His father taught him the basic chords when he was 12, and then Taylor took a few guitar lessons from Louis Jauregui (former Santana guitar player). From there, Taylor inter-mixed different styles of music to create a unique blend of his own. He went on to be in various bands but mainly focused on personal compositions.
